Mandolin

This is a very beautiful hand made mandolin which closely replicates Orville Gibson's 1903 patented "A" model. Orville's concept was to build the instrument using as few separate pieces of wood as possible. In this case the top and back are carved in the usual manner while the sides are formed from a single piece of solid timber resulting in a bright and powerful sounding mandolin.
