EASTWOOD Acoustic
This guitar was commissioned in 1978, shortly after Brian had done a refret and setup on the customer's '75 Les Paul. Like the Les Paul, it has a 24¾ inch scale, but unlike most acoustics at the time, it has a deep cutaway. There's not a millimetre of plastic to be found on, or in, this Grand Auditorium style guitar. The body is spruce/rosewood and the neck is maple/ebony. All bindings are wood, inlays are abalone and bridge saddle, pins and nut are brass. These photos were taken 25 years later (July 2006) and the guitar still looks, plays and sounds as good as ever.
